KONG’s Swivel Anchor Connector made of high quality stainless steel AISI 316.
The KONG will ensure your anchor slides perfectly through the ferrule without any problems or damage to the sheaving. It will ensure your anchor straightens up automatically and is correctly positioned on board.
The swivel connector also ensures the anchor will hold on the seabed without the chain twisting. The bigger version # 644.16 is designed for anchors up to 150kg.
KONG is the only tested anchor swivel available on the market.
KONG Swivel Assembly Diagram
When using a one-piece solid anchor, the risk of lateral stress (where the load is not in-line) greatly increases. Using an appropriate shackle between the anchor shank and swivel may be advisable to reduce lateral loads.
Allow anchor to rotate and self-position prior to hauling aboard to avoid damaging your KONG Anchor Swivel Connector.
Breaking loads of anchor components should decrease as follows: A. Deck B. Bow Roller Attachment C. Chain D. Anchor Connector

John Palmer –
I found the swivel reasonably priced and very easy to install,
The ease of ordering and time frame was also great
